Highlights Virginia is the recipient of the Giza Award for Traditional Solo Dance to Live Music (2003). Virginia has recently performed with the widely enjoyed Egyptian performer Dina, has danced for the Saudi Arabian Royal Family, toured with the reknowned Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar, and has been featured in film, television, newspaper, and theatre around the world including MTV. The renowned Cirque de Soleil sought her out to audition for their performing company. She has entertained sold-out audiences at all five of her Middle Eastern dance productions in Miami: Echoes of Cairo, Odalisca Oriental, Cairo Cabaret, “Egyptia”, and Amal Hayati. This translates to “the light of my eyes” which embraces the brilliance this special group of performers brings to the stage. Virginia and her Ensemble are a professional dance company comprised of talented, beautiful and exotic women. The company, under Virginia’s direction, has been invited to perform on television, in productions and a variety of art and cultural events, including features on MTV and NBC’s So You Think You Can Dance? With a grand repertoire of dances and specialty performances, they are the most sought-after bellydance performance companies in Miami. Each performer has extensive training with some of the most legendary artists of Middle Eastern dance, and have invested many hours of class and rehearsal in polishing their craft.
